If you enter the mines from Great Tree Hall, the front entrance, without the spider ball and pass either of these rooms, it might seem like you couldn't go back and would be stuck if you save the game in Central Dynamo.
That isn't true though; all you have to do is exit through Phazon Processing Center when ready to leave the mines. You can then enter again from Great Tree Hall if you need to do something else in any room before either of these two.
