DOUBLE BOMB JUMP

The double bomb jump is the standard bomb jump technique. In order to get any use from the more advanced ones, mastery of the double bomb jump is necessary.

1st bomb - with a full stock, place this bomb whenever, but don't move once it's set.

2nd bomb - right before or right after the first bomb explodes, place the second bomb.

3rd bomb - place the third and last bomb at the peak of your jump.

The result is the first bomb explodes and propels you up, the second bomb propels you again once you land, and then you hit the third bomb to go up two levels of height, hence double bomb jump.

An advanced form of the double bomb jump is the bomb ladder.

DOUBLE BOMB JUMP MORPH

The double bomb jump morph simply adds morphing out of ball mode almost right after hitting the third bomb to get extra height and distance. To do one, just hold the stick in the desired direction right before or after hitting the third bomb and morph out. If no direction is chosen Samus will just jump straight up.

Use a dbjm to reach places too high or far away to get to with a single jump. This technique is mostly pointless once you have space jump, but is very useful in a game before or without space jump, since it's so easy to do but gets respectable results.
