WAVEBUSTER BEFORE THARDUS

The wavebuster can be gotten as soon as you have the wave beam; when you do, go to Ruined Shrine in Chozo Ruins. Get to the wave door at the back of the room without the spider ball, then proceed to Tower of Light.

You need 36 missiles to destroy all of the walls on normal, and 72 missiles on hard, but it's possible to get away with 60 if you use only super missiles to destroy the walls.

ICE SPREADER BEFORE THARDUS

The ice spreader can be gotten as soon as you have the ice beam and a power bomb from somewhere. You can use either the actual power bomb or an expansion. The one at Phendrana's Edge is the earliest you can get, available any time after ice beam.

FLAMETHROWER BEFORE THARDUS

The flamethrower can be gotten as soon as you have the plasma beam and a power bomb from somewhere. Like the ice spreader, there's nothing to doing this once you have the items.
