Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

Q: I believe one of your methods is false/impossible. How should I go about informing you of that?
A: Please keep in mind that everything here was researched exhaustively before it wound up on this site. Literally everything was confirmed by several people before being shared. The people that contribute to this site are sensible and wouldn't discuss theory without stating it as such. That's why we appreciate it when someone doesn't claim a method to be false or impossible just because they can't do it; saying that doesn't imply you have much respect for all the research that has gone into this.

That said, if you honestly think you've found something incorrect on the site, all you have to do is mention it.

Q: I'm on a 100% run and was affected by the Gravity Chamber glitch; is there any way to still get the missile expansion if the grapple point has already disappeared?
A: Yes, but that part of the site needs to be updated first.

Q: I made a discovery that doesn't seem to be on this page. How can I contact you about it?
A: Create a thread or post in the latest sequence breaking topic in the Metroid Prime message board at GameFAQs. If your discovery is theory or is untested at the moment, please state that, as we're tired of people saying they've figured out the 22% game, only to be proven wrong 5 minutes later. Also keep in mind that to make a discovery at this point, it would take something ingenious since so much has been found already.

Q: You used an Action Replay to achieve these results, didn't you?
A: No. The majority of these discoveries were made before the Action Replay was even released in North America; some of them were made less than a month after the NTSC version of the game was released. The time you wasted asking this question could have been spent practicing early space jump more.

Q: Where can I find some sites with videos of MP?
A: Try Amasawa's backyard or Zanapher's site.

23% Questions

Q: How can 23% be possible? There's no way you can finish the game without breaking cordite or without the gravity suit.
A: 23% games have already been completed by site contributors. Again, this was heavily researched and confirmed before being shared; but if you want to think it's impossible, that's fine, just don't expect us to listen.

Q: What about the PAL version? Has anything changed there?
A: 23% isn't official in PAL, although 24% has been for some time. Until someone completes a PAL 23% game it'll remain unconfirmed.

PAL Version

Q: I heard that sequence breaking was "stopped" in the PAL version, is this true?
A: That is complete BS and sounds like it came straight from someone who couldn't do one of the methods on this site. A few things were changed, but nobody should pretend to know what the intentions of the developers were.

Q: Where can I go to read about real changes to the PAL version?
A: See the PAL Differences section.
