BOMB LADDER

The bomb ladder is an advanced form of the double bomb jump, something that gets the most distance of any bomb jump technique. It's superior to a double bomb jump in almost every situation, but is harder to do and takes practice.

The bomb timing for a ladder is the same as a dbj, but the position of the third bomb is actually the main difference. After placing the second bomb, immediately move off the surface you're on when the first bomb hits and place the third bomb as close to your destination as you can manage, coming back to the surface before falling down.

Once you land back on the surface you started on, you must then roll into bomb 2, then into bomb 3 without stopping. Move back slightly before this to make sure you don't go too far ahead of bomb 3 and not hit it when it explodes. If done correctly, the resulting forward momentum is so much that Samus can go much farther than a dbj allows.

Of course, you can also choose to morph out after a bomb ladder, in the same way it's done after a dbj.
