Techniques: Missile Push

Missile pushing is a technique, a derivative of the Missile Jump, that exploits a flaw in the game's collision. It is used to force Samus into or out of areas in normal form that she would otherwise be unable to access, or are meant for the morph ball. It is done by aiming at the floor, directly or slightly in front of you depending on where it is used, and firing Missiles until you get "pushed" into the desired area by the force of the explosion. This trick is typically used in the discovery of secret worlds and to bypass certain areas of the game meant to be explored in the Morph Ball. It can also be used in some not-so-secret worlds to bypass various walls or other physical obsticales within the constraints of a given room.

Examples of this technique include skipping the maze in Echo Hall (Alinos).
