If you have the second player in the game look at the other player shooting from another angle, you can plainly see that you <i>aren't</i> hitting Tallon IV, but an invisible wall that sits between you and the end of the room. Also, there is the effect that if you shoot anything outside of the area where there is nothing but empty space, you will hit that same wall. Furthermore, there is the fact that the planet must be extremely far away and Samus's arm cannon was not designed for such distances and therefore cannot reach that far.

There's an atmosphere, you know...the arm cannon can't penetrate it...but stil, have fun "shooting the planet" (im a serious player, so i dont do that stuff...i win)

You can shoot at Tallon IV but not destroy it... pity Note you can see your attacks hit the planet like if it was a solid surface. Best observed using Missiles or Super Missiles.
