Yes, but the thing about this is, you dont hold L! err.... you dont need to at least, but if you hold L, you're doing the ghetto jump and not the alternate ( i am severly ghetto immapaired, and have a hard time doing the simple tick) so i discovered a way to do a ghetto that i could accually do. this also helps in the fact that you dont need to be near a wall to do it ~supuh

----

After some testing, I've come to the conclusion that the alternate Ghetto Jump does not add height, but just prevents your view from locking down. Anyone with Action Replay can easily prove this. All you need to do is get a Moonjump code. Do the alternate Ghetto Jump but after your second jump, keep jumping without pressing any direction. You'll notice that your view does not drift downwards, unlike when you normally jump. Now, reset the game without Action Replay and do the alternate Ghetto Jump. Your view won't go downwards, creating the illusion that you've jumped higher. If anyone can prove me wrong on this, I'd be happy to hear it. But as far as I'm concerned, I don't think this trick's going to get us anywhere. Sorry to break it to ya; I had my hopes too... :( -MML54
Yes, it DOES gain height, i discovered it in multiplayer where i furtherly tested it, its kinda hard to do, but the view locking in place shows that you are at least hitting the buttons fast enough, but not at the right time.

I was messing around in the third room in torvus bog, when i did a screw attack from the dark beam door to the main section of the room, and there was air underwater. i could screw attack and everything, but i went into morphball, and when the camera went back under the water-line, everything was back to normal again. I have been able to reproduce this glitch four times, there is a video here: http://studentpages.scad.edu/~acormi20/SA_Underwater.avi

That video was by Sigfriedxx, thank you for making that!
I found out three unmorphing glicthes.

push the joy stick forward untill you get alot of speed then unmorph 1 of these 4 things will happen.

Nothing.-_-

A the morph ball will become a blue spark and instant unmorph.

Samus will be seen while unmorphing on her front side insted of back.

Samus will be unmorph and the game will be normal EXCEPT you will be in 3rd person shooter mode unmorph and the game will continue like normal.(you can shoot, swicth beams , shoot misiles ,jump, space jump, etc. but no locking on.)
Note:The glitch only lasts a few seconds.
