Requirements: Screw Attack, Spider Ball

Here is a method primarily for 100% runs that allows you to skip most of the spiderball tracks en route to the missile expansion. A video might be helpful if someone with the means to do so wants to make one.

Start at the upper level of the room, with your back to the dark door. There is a hole in the glass.

Space jump to the top of the large cylinder in the middle of the room. It helps to be slightly to one side when you jump through the glass, otherwise you will hit a small pice of rock in the ceiling and won't make it to the cylinder.

Look towards the second piston/spiderball track from the right (it dips down lower than the two tracks on either side. Screw Attack into the cage area around this piston.

You will take damage from the phazon at the bottom of this cage area, but if you are quick, you won't take too much. Go into morphball mode and do a Double Bomb Jump, while holding R to use spider ball to attatch to the piston. The piston must be at its lowermost point to reach it.

Boost onto the last piston and then to the missile expansion as usual.

Note that it is possible to screw attack into the rightmost piston cage, but a dbj isn't high enough to reach either the piston or the gap that leads to the missile expansion. Someone with knowledge of a tbj or other advanced bomb technique might be able to make it over.

By bartendorsparky:
you could also screw attack right into the little hole to the right, where you would normally exit.

This trick lets you go directly from Great Bridge to Torvus Temple, without going through most of upper Torvus.

First, line up next to the translator door, facing the way you came in. There is a slight bump in the floor that you have to ghetto off of. Run forward, and ghetto off the bump into the slant on the wall, then back onto the door.

From here, perform a dash (using the translator door as a scan) over to the bridge.
- First, do a [[ghetto jump]] off of the right side of the half-pipe in Meeting Grounds to get onto the War Wasp hive. From the hive, jump to the tunnel and proceed as usual. You must have enough speed to get over the crumbling blocks. One consistant way i found to do this: roll forward until the camera changes into a side view, then back to the closing door, and finally, hold down to roll quickly, then transistion to right when the camera returns to the side view.

- Once in Hall of the Honored Dead, you must manipulate the spinners to turn. To do this, enter the spinner and lay a bomb. Hold up so you stay inside. Immediately before you lock in place again, press down-left (at different angles). It may also help to press 'r', and maybe 'l'. After countless tries, and with severe luck, the block should turn enough to get locked into the next position. Continue this until all spinners are in place.
1) Hive Dynamo Access (Discovered by Bartendorsparky)

Simply wait for the "ing guy" to appear in the center of the room, then jump through the nice, big hole in the ceiling. Wallcrawl over the echo gate, to the door, and door warp (explanation would be appreciated) back into the room.

Note: If you do this before Spiderball, you must use a technique discovered by Sparky to bypass Watch Station. You can stand on a Rezbit when their shields are active. Use this to jump up to the spider ball track. One the very left of the lower track, you can stand on the lower portion. Then jump to the higher track to the right, and face the room with your back to the wall. Jump backwards towards the morph ball slot and MAM(mid-air morph) into the slot. If you get spiderball before screw attack, simply proceed as normal once you enter watch station.
