Thank you Nate! This is really nice. I already loved it in Super but now this! Amazing!!! I enjoy it! Thank you! :D
How do you record this? I already wanted to record some Tracks from the Super Mario Sunshine Soundtrack (some I don't have... the "onYoshi" Background Music) but my Computer just has too low... arrghh... on german it's called "Eingangsimpedanz". It's unit is "Ohm" , or the big greek Omega.
So because of this song I'll buy and play the game when it comes out, at once! I need this really. The only reason I bought a gamecube was I wanted to play Metroid Prime with this ingenious Soundtrack (the MP1 one...). So I hope every Song is like this one. Highly Addictive
Thank you so much for this mp3. Now I can let my friend who lives out of town hear it, since he probably won't be able to play the game till he comes down for the holidays (he doesn't have a cube).
whoa, awesome. response was slow at first so i was not sure if anyone cared. this is great, thanks guys. the way that i recorded it was kind of lame, the same way i record video; just used my capture card, then exported the audio to a wave, centered, denoised, and normalized it, and used itunes for the mp3age. if nintendo fails to release the soundtrack i'll just record all the tracks in that manner so we can enjoy them wherever we are.

That's EXACTLY the same way in which I plan on doing it. Record the footage, then split it into 2 files (video and audio) and convert the .wav to .mp3.
I like this tune/song, a lot. However, it's not gonna persuade me into buying MP2 just yet. Still have to be convinced. ;) Digging up my Gamecube from the attic is a lot of effort (*grins silly*).
Anyhow, the music of MP2 sounds like it's on the mark.
Nice ripping there, Nate. Quality is pretty damn good.
When I first heard that there was a song from Super Metroid being used in lower Torvus, I tried not to get my hopes up. I told myself "What are the odds that it would happen to be my favorite song from SM?" You simply have no idea how excited I was when I actually got there and heard that it was in fact my favorite song. I'm going to email Retro Studios so I can personally thank them for such an awesome game, and specifically for putting that song in it.

Resistance, methinks.
On topic, this song rocks. I can't actually remember where it's from in SM though. Damn you people and your Metroid Prime 2 copies! Damn you!
